Toddler Community

We Are Expanding!
We are very excited to announce that Sunstone Montessori will be opening two more Toddler classrooms at our new Rusk Road campus in September 2024!
We have signed a lease for a bucolic, 12 acre campus, located just 4.5 miles due South of our Woodstock campus, upon which we will open our Middle School Farm School and new Toddler classrooms. Enrollment begins fall of 2023! We encourage you to check back in October to schedule your tour.

Journey to Independence
Children in our toddler environment explore a range of activities designed to help them develop independence, control of movement, language, and much more. They focus on toilet independence, social interactions, language development, and practical life activities such as pouring, managing clothing, and preparing snacks. The environment serves children from 16 months, if they have begun walking, to three years. Children transition to one of our Children’s House classrooms as their independence develops.
