Toddler Community

We Are Expanding!
We are very excited to announce that Sunstone Montessori will be opening two more Toddler classrooms in September 2024 at our new Milwaukie campus!
We have signed a lease for a bucolic, 12 acre campus, located just 4.5 miles due South of our Woodstock campus in Milwaukie, OR, upon which we will open our Middle School and two new Toddler classrooms.

Now Enrolling our Milwaukie Campus
We are currently enrolling two Toddler classrooms at our new Milwaukie campus for the 2024-25 school year. Renovations of the new campus are scheduled for the summer of 2024 in time for doors to open next September.

Journey to Independence
Children in our toddler environment explore a range of activities designed to help them develop independence, control of movement, language, and much more. They focus on toilet independence, social interactions, language development, and practical life activities such as pouring, managing clothing, and preparing snacks. The environment serves children from 16 months, if they have begun walking, to three years. Children transition to one of our Children’s House classrooms as their independence develops.
