Winter Sing & Solstice Celebration
Friday, December 20th
- Toddler: 8:45-9:30 a.m.
- Children’s House & Elementary: 1:00-3:00 p.m.
Each year we come together as a community and celebrate the upcoming winter solstice with music and creativity. The Toddler community will celebrate in the morning and the Children’s House and Elementary communities will celebrate in the afternoon (while the toddlers are napping).

The fabulous room parents will plan an array of crafts for us all to make! From snow globes to scented bath salts to dried herbal sprays, every classroom will offer a different array of crafts. The room parents do the heavy work of planning the crafts and organizing the materials. The parents offer their support day of to ensure the event is a success for all.

Toddler
Toddler parents are invited to join their child in the classroom for crafting from 8:45-9:30 a.m., on Friday, December 20th. Mark your calendar!

Children’s House & Elementary
Children’s House and Elementary families please join us in the afternoon of Friday, December 20th, from 1:00-3:00 p.m. The Children’s Houses will usher in the season with a chorus of songs (this is beyond precious and not to be missed), after which we will enjoy an afternoon of crafting in the classrooms planned by our fabulous Room Parents!
Please Find a Way to Pitch In
We have a few options to choose from. You can:
- help the room parents set up the craft stations in the classrooms before the event
- help clean up after the event
- keep an eye on a craft table for 30 minutes during the event by restocking supplies and tidying up as needed (short 30 minute shifts available)
- Don’t worry, the room parents will give you all of the information and instruction that you need. Each craft station will have a simple step by step instruction sheet printed out and a finished sample for viewing. Staffing a craft table is an easy gig and a fantastic way to support your classrooms.
We are looking forward to celebrating the Winter Solstice with you and spending some time together before the winter break!
