Throughout the year Elementary children work in groups on long, involved research projects that ultimately take them beyond the classroom and into the community. Children go to places like museums, businesses, the zoo, and/or conduct interviews with professionals to further their understanding and research. Parents are needed to chaperone these Elementary ‘Going Outs’ and field trips. Chaperoning a ‘Going Out’ is a wonderful chance to support our Elementary program, learn something new, and have fun while fulfilling some of your Community Participation hours.
To be placed on the ‘Going Out’ chaperone call list, you are required to attend a ‘Going Out’ chaperone orientation. The orientation takes about an hour and is good for three years.
We have three orientation sessions scheduled. These sessions will be held as long as a minimum of four people sign-up per session. You can click below to sign up.
